● Biographie ●
Le concept de Lordi vit le jour, alors que Tomi Putaansuu (alias Mr. Lordi) n'était agé que de 18 ans. L'idée de ce projet est intimement liée à deux vocations de Putaansuu: le rock et le metal des 80's et le cinéma. Il suivit des études de cinéma où il se spécialisa dans le maquillage et les story-boards pour publicités et court-métrage. Il eut à choisir entre la musique et le cinéma et il finit par choisir la musique pensant pouvoir s'y épanouir davantage que dans la réalisation de publicités... A travers son projet musical, il pu finalement lier ses deux passions grâce à la réalisation de costumes, de dessins de pochettes...Sachant jouer de tous les instruments, Mr. Lordi a commencé l'enregistrement de démos seul en 1992 dans sa ville natale de Rovaniemi en Finlande.

I went to see Lordi live last year, 2023 just for fun. They were suprisingly good and entertaining. I did not really expect them to become one of my favorite acts - but that's what happened.

Kita's phonogram backing vocals (+ Awa's live) were awesome
i know they have a lot of backing vocals on tape, but i find his vocals pretty solid. saw them live in 2013, amen poured us a shot of whiskey as we were waiting outside and it was called, good times.
